What does the Iranian government and the newly appointed Iraqi government have in common?

Does anyone find it odd that terrorists are supposed to be coming from Iran, a majority shiite country to fight an elected shiite government in Iraq?

So we fought the Sunnis who were fighting the shiites and are now fighting the Iranian Shiites who fought against the Sunnis?

I think I’m confused.
